P * Mary Elizabeth Gearheart (ID=927)
Born: 1775 - Rockbridge County, Virginia
Died: 20 Aug 1855
Place of Death: Beech Creek, Greene, Indiana
Married: 15 Sep 1795
Remarks: Her husband, Christian TROUT, served in the Revolutionary War. Elizabeth applied for a widow pension for her husband's service in the Revolutionary War on 7 May 1850 and a Bounty Land application for his service on 20 April 1855. On the bounty land application application she stated her maiden name was Gearhart. She had previously provided statement from the county clerk of Rockbridge County, Virginia that their records contained a marriage between Christian Trout and Elizabeth Gearhart on 15 September 1795.

Her husband had died at their residence in Pike County, Kentucky on 16 September 1847.

The pension ledgers ("United States Revolutionary War Pension Payment Ledgers, 1818-1872," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q24Q-RFW5 : accessed 3 August 2019), Elizabeth Trout, 04 Mar 1848; citing Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana, United States, NARA microfilm publication T718 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1962), roll 19; FHL microfilm 1,319,399.) show that she received a payment until March 1859 but did not receive one for September 1859. It is likely that she died between these 2 dates.
